Spain's foreign trade deficit narrowed in September compared to a year ago after exports grew faster than imports, data from Spain's economy ministry showed.
The trade deficit fell to 3.3 billion euros ($3.5 billion) in September, compared to 3.8 billion euros in the same month last year. The deficit stood at 4.8 billion euros in August.
Exports rose 1.9 percent year-on-year in September from 2.5 percent in August. Imports also rose by 0.1% in September compared to 3.2% in August. Exports and imports increased by 17.7% and 10.4% respectively year-on-year.
