In October, the Qatar Central Bank's international reserves and foreign currency liquidity increased by 4.36% to reach 254.16 billion riyals ($69.8 billion), compared to 243.53 billion riyals in the same month of 2023. Data issued by the Qatar Central Bank showed that its official reserves increased on an annual basis, by about 10.43 billion riyals, to reach 195.15 billion riyals, as a result of the increase in the Central Bank's balances of bonds and foreign treasury bills by about 2.280 billion riyals, to the level of 138.47 billion riyals in October 2024.
Gold stocks increased by about 12.56 billion riyals, compared to October 2023, to 35.73 billion riyals. Balances with foreign banks fell by about 4.40 billion riyals, to the level of 15.75 billion riyals, on an annual basis.
