A report issued by QNB Financial Services showed that total banking sector assets in Qatar declined by 0.1 percent month-on-month (+1.2% YTD) in April 2025 to QAR 2.072 trillion.
The loan portfolio declined by 0.2 percent month-on-month (+2.8% YTD), while deposits decreased by 1.6 percent month-on-month (+1.5% YTD) in April 2025.
The loan-to-deposit ratio increased to 132.8 percent, compared to 131.0 percent in March 2025. Public sector deposits declined by 2.8 percent, while government sector deposits decreased by 9.1 percent. Meanwhile, government sector deposits increased by 0.1 percent, while semi-government deposits increased by 2.9 percent.
