The total domestic liquidity in the Sultanate of Oman increased by the end of September 2024, by about 3 billion Omani riyals, to record 24.69 billion Omani riyals, an increase of 13.9 percent, compared to the same period in 2023, according to preliminary statistics issued by the National Center for Statistics and Information.
According to the center's data, the total cash issued decreased by 4.5%, recording 1.54 billion riyals at the end of September, compared to 1.61 billion riyals at the end of September 2023. The total foreign assets of the Central Bank of Oman increased by 20.7 percent, recording by the end of September, the value of 7.48 billion riyals, compared to the end of September 2023, when the total foreign assets reached 6.2 billion riyals.
