Oman's Budget Revenues Decline by 7 Percent

Oman's total budget revenues declined by 7 percent year-on-year to OMR2.635 billion ($6.85 billion) during the first quarter of 2025 amid declining oil revenues.

Data released by the Ministry of Finance showed that the Sultanate's oil revenues decreased by 13 percent to OMR 1.468 billion in the first three months of the year, compared to OMR 1.688 billion in the first quarter of 2024. Gas revenues, meanwhile, registered a slight decrease of 2 percent to OMR 436 million.

Public spending increased by 4 percent to OMR 2.771 billion compared to the same period last year. The Sultanate's public debt also decreased from OMR 15.3 billion to OMR 14.3 billion.
