Egypt.. Trade Deficit Rises by More Than 21 Percent

Recent official data revealed that the value of Egypt's trade deficit increased by 21.3% during the month of August, on an annual basis.

According to data issued by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics on foreign trade data, the value of Egypt's trade balance deficit reached about $ 4.88 billion during the month of August, compared to $ 4.03 billion for the same month of the previous year, an increase of about $ 0.85 billion.

The data showed a decline in the value of Egyptian exports by 7.2% to about $ 3.45 billion, compared to $ 3.72 billion during the same period last year.
