During its 64th meeting held at the Sharjah Chamber headquarters, the Council of the Federation of Chambers of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries chose Saleh bin Hamad Al Sharqi as Secretary-General of the Federation.
Al Sharqi held several leadership positions at Qatar Chamber for many years, including the Chamber's Director General from February 2016 until the end of 2023. He also served as Director of Finance and Administration, Deputy Director General, and Acting Director General.
Al-Sharqi chaired several committees within the Qatar Chamber and supervised many important files in the Chamber. Al Sharqi represented Qatar Chamber in many Gulf, Arab, and international conferences and meetings. In addition to his position as Director General of Qatar Chamber, Al Sharqi has been a member of a number of boards of directors in a number of entities in the State of Qatar and other Gulf entities.
