According to UNCTAD data, global e-commerce sales exceeded $27 trillion in 2022—a nearly 60% increase since 2016.
The e-commerce market in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries is projected to reach $33.3 billion in 2025 and $46.1 billion by 2029, representing a 10% compound annual growth rate.
Recent years have witnessed a rapid expansion in e-commerce, becoming a key driver of the digital economy. The Gulf region has been a major beneficiary of this growth, bolstered by advanced digital infrastructure, a young population, and national digital transformation strategies.
