The UAE rose two places to 17th globally, while maintaining its first place in the Middle East in the "Best Countries for 2024" index issued by the US media network "U.S. News & World Report", which measures the performance of 89 countries according to the characteristics and trends that contribute to driving trade and investment and directly affecting their national economies.
The UAE scored 79.1 points on the general index, outperforming South Korea, Spain, Finland, Austria, Iceland, Belgium and others. In the sub-rankings, the UAE topped the world in future growth, which depends on a range of factors, including its readiness to meet the challenges posed by the global economy.
