Hamad International Airport (HIA) achieved remarkable milestones in 2024, welcoming 52.7 million passengers, an increase of 15 percent, compared to 2023.
Hamad International Airport continues to strengthen its role as a major global hub for airlines and passengers, with aircraft movements increasing to 279,000, marking a 10 percent increase compared to the same period last year. Total cargo handled reached 2.6 million tons, an increase of 12 percent, compared to last year. The airport also saw 41.3 million bags handled, reflecting a 10 percent increase in baggage handling efficiency.
According to Airports Council International (ACI) Air Connectivity Report 2024, Hamad International Airport (HIA) is ranked as the Middle East's highest level of air connectivity, providing passengers with outstanding connectivity options through its award-winning facilities.
