Russian President Vladimir Putin predicted that his country's economy will rise by 3.9% by the end of the year, noting that this percentage exceeds the global average.
"By the end of the year, the index (GDP index) is expected to reach 3.9%, which is higher than the global average, and according to IMF assessments, global GDP growth in 2024 (level) is expected to reach 3.2%," Putin said during a meeting on economic issues.
Putin explained that Russian industry, including high-tech, is proceeding at a good level, citing statistics that Russia's industrial growth during the eight months of this year amounted to 4.5%, while the manufacturing sector grew by 8.1%, and mechanical engineering by about 20%.
