Jordan's increasing trend toward promoting a circular economy represents a promising opportunity to achieve sustainable and inclusive development, meet environmental commitments, increase economic growth, raise the added value of domestic production, and create new job opportunities.

The Ministry of Environment has developed a five-year green plan that ends this year and is based on 6 main sectors, namely energy, water, waste management, agriculture, tourism, and transport, and linking climate action efforts to the circular economy through important projects and documents. The Ministry of Environment has licensed 183 waste management facilities, including special facilities for recycling, including 8 for recycling batteries, 12 for recycling oils, and the same for recycling tires. In addition, 34 stations have been established to collect and distribute electrical and electronic waste in the country's governorates, in addition to licensing eight facilities for recycling electronic and electrical waste.
