Qatar's Central Bank's assets exceeded 304 billion riyals

The assets of the Qatar Central Bank at the end of last December recorded 304.44 billion riyals, compared to 304.75 billion riyals at the end of November 2024. The assets of the Qatar Central Bank increased by 2 percent, equivalent to 5.96 billion riyals, compared to the level of assets at the end of December 2023, which amounted to 298.48 billion riyals. Three factors supported the increase in Qatar Central Bank's assets during 2024, including the increase in gold reserves by 38.70 percent, the growth of balances with foreign banks by 26.07 percent, and the increase in balances with local banks by 1.49 percent. Gold reserves last month reached 33.80 billion riyals, followed by investment in foreign treasury bonds and bills 127.09 billion riyals.
