Qatar Chamber hosted a delegation from the Republic of Hungary representing the Investment Promotion Agency, headed by Acting Director of International Relations Anette Nagy. The delegation was received by a member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Food Security and Environment Committee, Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Obaidli.
During the meeting, the research focused on the importance of strengthening cooperation relations between Qatari and Hungarian companies in the fields of agriculture and agricultural technology. The meeting reviewed the most important investment opportunities available in Hungary and the investment incentives provided by the government to attract foreign investments.
Al-Obaidli pointed out that the State of Qatar pays great attention to the agricultural sector as part of its efforts to enhance food security and economic diversification within the Qatar National Vision 2030. He pointed out that Qatar has invested strongly in this vital sector by developing local farming and production systems and adopting the latest technologies that enhance sustainability and resource efficiency.
Nagy explained that Hungary looks forward to identifying opportunities in the Qatari market and to close cooperation with Qatari companies through joint projects and investments. She pointed out that Hungary has achieved great development in the agricultural field, and that there are many investment opportunities available in her country, which can attract Qatari investors.
