Saudi Arabia ranked first at the Arab level and the Middle East and North Africa region, and 20th place globally, in the Quality Infrastructure Index for Sustainable Development (QI4SD) for the year 2024.
The index is issued every two years by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), where the Kingdom jumped 25 places compared to the index issued in 2022. The Governor of the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization, Dr. Saad bin Othman Al-Qasabi, explained that the results of the index reflect the national efforts made by Saudi Standards in partnership with the Saudi Accreditation Center and the relevant authorities in the public and private sectors, as a result of the unlimited support enjoyed by the quality system from the wise leadership to achieve the goals of Vision 2030, enhance the Kingdom's position globally, and contribute to building a prosperous and more competitive economy.
