Annual inflation in Egypt's cities rose marginally to 26.5 percent in October, from 26.4 percent in September.
The annual inflation rate for the total republic was recorded 26.3% for October 2024, compared to 38.5% for the same month of the previous year, according to data from the Central Bureau of Statistics in Egypt.
Reuters predicted that annual inflation in Egyptian cities will reach 20.4 percent in 2024-2025, and 11.4 percent in 2025-2026. Inflation rose to 26.4 percent in September, but well below the record 38 percent set in September 2023.
