The United Nations Development Program revealed that the Israeli war on Gaza has destroyed the Palestinian economy, as the gross domestic product has decreased by 35% since the beginning of the war a year ago, while development levels in the sector itself have collapsed to what they were in the fifties of the last century. The program official, Chitose Noguchi, said during the launch of a new study on the social and economic effects of the war that, based on some standards, the poverty level in the Gaza Strip is now close to 100% as a result of the unrest, while the unemployment rate has reached 80%.
