Kuwait's Trade Surplus Records 3.2 Billion Dinars... In The First Quarter

Kuwait's foreign trade data showed that the country's trade balance surplus during the first quarter of 2024 decreased by 12 percent and by about 437 million dinars, decreasing from 3.637 billion to 3.2 billion. Kuwait's foreign trade exchange also declined by 6.9 percent and by about 664 million dinars, falling from 9.569 billion in the first quarter of 2023 to 8.905 billion in the same period of this year.

Data from the Central Administration of Statistics revealed that the value of the import bill fell by 3.8 percent to reach 2.85 billion dinars compared to 2.965 billion for the same period last year. Machinery, electrical appliances, and transport equipment accounted for about 32.7 percent, with a total value of 934 million dinars, as the value of imported cars and vehicles decreased by 11 percent to 396.52 million dinars compared to 445.34 million.
