The International Air Transport Association (IATA) expects aviation profits to rebound in an update to the forecast for 2023. According to Etihad, the aviation sector's net profit is expected to reach $9.8 billion in 2023 (1.2 percent) net profit margin, more than double the previous forecast of $4.7 billion (December 2022).
Aviation operating profit is expected to reach $22.4 billion in 2023, reflecting a significant improvement in expectations compared to December's forecast of $3.2 billion operating profit. Operating profit is expected to double to $10.1 billion in 2022.
