Qatar Chamber hosted a delegation from the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT ) and the China Chamber of International Commerce headed by Vice Chairman Yu Jianlong. During the meeting, they reviewed the economic and trade relations between the two countries, ways to enhance cooperation relations between Qatar Chamber and the Council, investment opportunities available in both countries, and prospects for cooperation and partnership between the Qatari and Chinese private sectors.
First Vice President of Qatar Chamber Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Kuwari stressed that the State of Qatar and the People's Republic of China have distinguished and developed relations at all levels, pointing out that the volume of trade exchange between them has doubled significantly, which makes China one of the most important trade partners of the State of Qatar.
Yu Jianlong thanked Qatar Chamber for hosting the meeting, praising its keenness to enhance joint cooperation between the Qatari and Chinese private sectors. He said that the State of Qatar is of great importance to the People's Republic of China, especially since the volume of trade between them is constantly and steadily growing and that there are successful Qatari investments in China in many sectors.
