Tunisia's trade deficit fell by 21% year-on-year during the first five months of this year.
Data from the Institute of Statistics showed the trade deficit reached 6.4 billion dinars ($2.06 billion) during the January-May period. The trade deficit stood at 8.1 billion dinars ($2.6 billion) during the same period last year.
The institute attributed the decline in the trade balance deficit to the increase in the value of exports by 3.3 percent, and the decline in imports by 2.5 percent.
