The G-20 expanded its economic capabilities further after its members agreed to include the African Union as a permanent member, as is the case with the European Union.
According to “Bloomberg”, the group has already taken this step, as the leaders officially announced the decision during the summit held on September 9 and 10 in India.
The move would give the 55-member African Union, currently classified as an "invited international organization", the same status as the European Union.
