We are honored to publish issue (50) of the Arab Economic Bulletin for the second semester of 2021, which includes a distinguished set of studies and research which deals with the prospects for the Arab and global economy in light of the continuing repercussions of the Corona pandemic and the new digital work rules that imposed themselves with the changes at the sector level, as well as at the level of international relations.

The first study, entitled "Prospects for the Global and Arab Economy 2021 - Challenges Mixed with Cautious Optimism", reviews the shocks received by the global and Arab economy, growth expectations, and the new investment map in the areas of digital economy and sustainable development.

The second study looks at "The new rules for the role of Arab chambers to keep pace with the needs of the business sectors" and the requirements for containing the repercussions and drawing lessons from international and Arab experiences, including reformulating policies and roles.

The third study aims to show the areas of "Alignment between sustainable development and the Fourth Industrial Revolution to meet the economic challenges in the Arab world", in light of the multiple scenarios of the Corona pandemic crisis and the shortcomings of digital transformation and scientific research.

The fourth research, entitled "Recovery of investment in renewable energy in the global and Arab economy," reviews the critical shift in global and Arab investment towards renewable energy, while there was a significant decline in capital spending in traditional sectors, as the Corona pandemic led to a fundamental change in key economic concepts and highlighted the importance of diversification and sustainability in the agendas of the journey to the future.

The fifth study deals with "International developments and commitments in the tourism and travel services sector", and the sixth study reviews "Tourism services and sustainable development goals."

The seventh study, entitled "The Asia-Pacific Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement 2020 - the largest economic and trade bloc in the world led by China", deals with the backgrounds that led to the signing of this agreement and its various dimensions, and the implications of its provisions and repercussions, the possible effects of the agreement on Arab economies.

The eighth research looks at the “Balance of profit and loss in the Trade and Cooperation Agreement between the United Kingdom and the European Union,” which is scheduled to enter into effect in early 2021, which will not be at the level of integration that existed before, although in many areas it provides a strong basis for maintaining long-term cooperation.

The ninth study sheds light on the "Belt and Road Initiative and its impact globally and on Arab countries - opportunities and challenges", and ways of benefit expected for Arab countries.

The tenth study, "A Road Map for Business Sector Adaptations to Global & Regional Economic Changes after Covid-19 Pandemic", charts the impacts on the tourism, logistics, transport, SME and remittance sectors.

The eleventh study, entitled "RCEP and the Arab World: New Trade Opportunities", shows a second reading of the various aspects of the Asia-Pacific Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, which was held in November 2020, the study also deals with the economic and commercial relations of the Arab countries with this regional bloc in order to deduce the prospects for future cooperation and the desired benefits from it.

We hope that this research will constitute a new addition to Arab economic thought.
