Personal financial transfers by foreigners residing in Saudi Arabia (expatriates) rose by about 19.6 percent during the first nine months of 2025 to about 125.2 billion riyals (33.39 billion dollars), compared to transfers of about 104.7 billion riyals (27.9 billion dollars) during the same period in 2024.
According to the monthly bulletin of the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA), the value of expatriate remittances reached about 41.55 billion riyals (11.08 billion dollars) in the third quarter of 2025, compared to about 37.01 billion riyals (9.87 billion dollars) in the third quarter of 2024, an increase of 12.3 percent.
Remittances remained above the level of 40 billion riyals for the third consecutive quarter this year, after recording their highest quarterly level in history during the first quarter of 2025 at about 42.02 billion riyals, followed by about 41.64 billion riyals in the second quarter of 2025.
