AED 108 Billion Increase in UAE Central Bank Balance Sheet

The Central Bank of the UAE revealed in its July 2025 balance sheet report that its assets rose during the first seven months of the year by 12.1 percent, or AED 108 billion, reaching AED 1.003 trillion at the end of July, compared to AED 895.8 billion at the end of December 2024.

On a yearly basis, the balance sheet increased by 22.7 percent, or AED 185.9 billion, compared to AED 817.9 billion at the end of July 2024. On a monthly basis, however, it declined by 0.6 percent, or AED 0.6 billion, compared to AED 1.004 trillion at the end of June 2025.

The capital and reserves of operating banks increased by 18.7 percent, or AED 7 billion, reaching AED 44.4 billion at the end of July 2025, compared to AED 37.4 billion at the end of December 2024.
