Total demand in global air cargo markets, measured in cargo ton-kilometers, increased by 5.5 percent in July 2025 compared to July 2024 levels.
According to data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), international operations recorded a 6.0 percent increase. Capacity, measured in available cargo ton-kilometers, rose by 3.9 percent year-on-year, and by 4.5 percent for international operations.
Middle Eastern carriers registered a 2.6 percent increase in demand, while capacity increased by 5.9 percent year-on-year.
