The Secretary-General of the Union of Arab Chambers, Dr. Khaled Hanafi, noted the growing trade relations between Arab countries and France, noting that the Union of Arab Chambers is working with the Arab chambers that are members of the Arab-French Chamber of Commerce to unify positions on various economic and trade issues. This will not only lead to the promotion of Arab exports to the French Republic but also elevate relations between the two sides to the level of a strategic partnership, given the stature of the Arab countries and France and their vast economic capabilities and natural and human resources. These resources contribute to achieving strategic partnership and cooperation in the fields of development, energy, and the economy, particularly in the technology and digital economy sectors. This came during his participation in the meetings of the Executive Office and Board of Directors of the Arab-French Chamber, held in the French capital, Paris, under the chairmanship of Chamber President Vincent Reyna, with the participation of Samir Majoul, President of the Union of Arab Chambers and President of the Tunisian Confederation of Industry, Trade and Handicrafts; Senator Khalil Al-Haj Tawfiq, First Vice President of the Chamber and President of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce; and Khalifa Al Thani, President of the Qatar Chamber, in addition to Chamber members from both the Arab and French sides. During the meetings, the current work of the Arab-French Chamber was reviewed, as well as the role it plays in strengthening and enhancing economic, trade and investment relations between France and the Arab world. The ongoing preparations for the upcoming Arab-French Economic Summit were also discussed. The Secretary-General of the Union, Dr. Khaled Hanafi, also participated, along with the President of the Union of Arab Chambers, Samir Majoul; the President of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce, Senator Khalil Al-Haj Tawfiq; and the President of the Qatar Chamber, Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al Thani, in a dialogue meeting held in the French capital, Paris, with the Chairman of the Foreign Relations and National Security Committee of the French Parliament. The meeting was attended by a wide range of Arab and French businessmen, along with a prominent presence from the Council of Arab Ambassadors accredited to the French capital, Paris, and members of the Board of Directors of the Arab-French Chamber.

During the meeting, the historical relations between France and the Arab world were reviewed, as well as ways to develop them into a strategic partnership in the coming period, given the current global circumstances. The activities and events that the Chamber will organize during the current year were also discussed, to enhance cooperation between Arab countries and the French Republic in the fields of trade and investment.

He praised the role played by the Arab-French Chamber, noting that the Chamber has, since its inception, aimed to develop and strengthen trade relations and cooperation between economic and commercial decision-makers in France and the Arab countries. He also pointed to the close and historic cooperative relations between the Arab world and France, emphasizing the commitment to strengthening cooperation between Arab businessmen and their French counterparts, which would contribute to increasing trade exchange between the two sides, making France an important strategic trade partner for the Arab world and Tunisia. He noted that France is a key partner in the world, and that the volume of trade and investment has witnessed significant growth in recent years. He also noted that many French businessmen and investors invest in the Arab world, and that there are significant investments by Arab investors in the French market, which is characterized by an attractive investment climate and lucrative opportunities.
