US President Donald Trump delivered the longest ever speech to Congress by a US president before Congress, in which he addressed several domestic and foreign issues, calling for the start of America's "golden period" and the strengthening of its sovereignty and independence, stressing that "the United States will remain free and independent."
Trump stressed that the tariffs will make America rich and great again, praising the role of businessman Elon Musk in cutting government expenditures.
The US president acknowledged that the tariffs imposed on several countries could cause some disruptions to the US economy, "but we are satisfied with that."
