The UAE's non-oil foreign trade continued its upward trajectory, which it began years ago, achieving at the end of 2024 a new and unprecedented historic peak by recording AED 2.997 trillion ($ 815.7 billion), a growth of 14.6 percent compared to 2023.

The record growth rate in UAE trade during 2024 will significantly exceed its counterpart recorded in the global trade movement. The latest data from the World Trade Organization showed that cumulative trade in goods from the beginning of 2024 to the end of September 2024 achieved limited growth in terms of volume by 2.4 percent, compared to the same period in 2023, while the value of trade in goods increased by 1.6 percent during the comparison period.
