South Korea's Ministry of Industry has temporarily blocked employee access to Chinese AI startup DeepSeek due to security concerns, urging the government to be cautious about generative AI services.

The government issued a notice, calling on ministries and agencies to be cautious about the use of AI services, including DeepSeek and ChatGPT, in business.

The state-owned Korea Hydropower and Nuclear Power Corporation has banned the use of artificial intelligence services, including DeepSeek. The Defense Department has also blocked access to DeepSeek on its military-grade computers.
