UAE economy grows 3.6 percent in first half of 2024

The UAE Minister of Economy, Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, revealed that "initial estimates of the UAE's GDP during the first half of 2024 showed that the economy grew by 3.6 percent, as the value of the country's real GDP at constant prices reached 879.6 billion dirhams during the first half of this year."

The value of the non-oil GDP amounted to about 660 billion dirhams, a growth of 4.4 percent, compared to the same period last year, bringing the contribution of non-oil sectors to the country's GDP to 75 percent. While the value of the nominal GDP - at current prices - during the first half of 2024 amounted to about 981 billion dirhams, recording a growth of 5.6 percent.
