Qatar Ranks First In the Arab World in Global Governance Indicators

Qatar ranked first in the region in the World Bank's 2024 Global Governance Index. Qatar ranked first in the political stability indicators with 84.36% and the rule of law with 80.19%. Doha's progress in the classification of global governance indicators is due to its efforts to enhance the axes of the Global Governance Index and within the framework of achieving sustainable development effectively.

Qatar also made a quantum leap in the e-Government Development Index (EGDI) 2024 issued by the United Nations, as it ranked fifth globally in the growth rate of the index, moving from 78th to 53rd place among 193 countries, an improvement of 25 places.

In the results of the 2024 Index report, Qatar ranked fifth globally in the Telecommunications Infrastructure Index (TII), with an improvement of 37 places, and the OSI eServices Index showed significant progress, as Qatar came in 58th place, and ranked 90th, with an increase of 15 places, in the General Human Capital Index (HCI), for the current year. According to 2023 data released by the World Bank, Qatar achieved 81.13% in the Organizational Quality Index, 85.85% in the Government Effectiveness Index, and 22.55% in the Participation and Accountability Index.
