Qatar's Central Bank Assets Grow by 4 Percent

Qatar Central Bank's assets increased during the month of October to nearly 4% year-on-year, compared to the same month of 2023, while it recorded a decline of 2.6% on a monthly basis, compared to the previous September. The assets of the Qatar Central Bank at the end of last month recorded about 305.5 billion riyals, and on an annual basis, the assets of the Central Bank increased by about 11.6 billion riyals from their value in October 2023 of 293.9 billion riyals.

Since the beginning of this year, the Central Bank's assets have increased from their level at the end of 2023 of 298.5 billion riyals, by up to 2.4%. In addition, deposits and special drawing rights decreased by 1.83% to 4.84 billion riyals, and Qatar's share in the Arab and International Monetary Funds decreased by 1.82% and 1.84%, respectively, at 334.5 million riyals and 347 million riyals, respectively, while gold reserves increased monthly by 4.87% at 35.74 billion riyals.
