Sultan of Oman Holds Private Sector Responsible For Employing Citizens with Government

The Sultan of Oman, Haitham bin Tariq, stressed the role of the private sector in contributing to the creation of job opportunities for Omanis, calling on the business sector to take advantage of the economic incentives provided by the government to support the employment of citizens.

During his meeting at Al Baraka Palace with Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Faisal Al Rawas at the head of a large delegation of business owners and a number of owners of small and medium enterprises and start-ups, Sultan Haitham bin Tariq stressed that the file of employing job seekers ranks first among the government's priorities. He stressed the role of the private sector in employment, as it bears the responsibility along with the government to provide, train, and qualify citizens with job opportunities, by benefiting from economic incentives, programs, and initiatives. launched by the government to support the private sector."

He called for strengthening the partnership between the government and the private sector, "continuing meetings with the private sector, listening to the visions of businessmen, and discussing proposals and challenges facing the sector, in order to ensure an appropriate environment to promote investments and develop the local economy."
