World Bank Again Lowers Middle East Forecast as a Result of Conflict

The World Bank cut its forecast for Middle East and North Africa (MENA) growth to 2.2 percent this year from 2.4 percent in its previous forecast in June due to uncertainty and uncertainty due to the ongoing conflict. According to the World Bank's latest biannual publication on economic developments for the region, titled "Growth in the Middle East and North Africa", the expected growth is led by the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, which are expected to record 1.9 percent growth in the region. 2024 is up from the bank's previous forecast of 1 percent.

Growth in 2023 was 1.8 percent.
