419.9 Million Dinars Increase in Bank Accounts and Deposits at the Central Bank

The total value of local banks' accounts and deposits with the Central Bank of Kuwait increased by 7.9 percent and by about 419.9 million dinars during the first 9 months of 2024 to reach 5.476 billion. After it was 5.325 billion at the end of last December, it also increased on a monthly basis by 4.9 percent and by about 268.8 million, compared to 5.476 billion at the end of August.

Documentary credit insurance made a big jump of 40.5 percent and about 72.4 million to rise from 178.7 million in December to 251.1 million in September, but on a monthly basis, it fell 8.7 percent and about 24 million, from 275 million at the end of last August.

The assets of Kuwait's "assets" witnessed a decline of 1.26 percent and 168.8 million dinars to reach about 13.151 billion by the end of September, compared to about 13.32 billion last December, and shrank monthly by 0.15 percent and by 20.8 million, from 13.17 billion in August.
