The Arab Monetary Fund (AMF) has predicted tepid growth for the economies of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region this year, to record lower levels at an annual comparison as a result of the persistence of regional and global crises affecting trade, business and trade activities.

The IMF expects the growth rate of Arab economies this year to reach 2.8 percent, lower than last year's levels of three percent, and the rate will reach 4.5 percent in 2025.

The negative effects of tightening monetary policies and lending standards, the escalating geopolitical situation, the debt crisis, and climate change have also contributed to this situation.

The future expectations for the Arab economy depend on the scenarios of tension in the Middle East, its possible expansion and its impact on global oil prices, and neighboring countries' economic and political conditions.
