The Secretary-General of the Union of Arab Chambers, Dr. Khaled Hanafi, participated in the joint meeting of the Executive Office and the Board of Directors of the Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which was held in Berlin, in the presence of the President of the Arab-German Chamber Olaf Hoffmann, the First Vice President of the Arab-German Chamber and President of Qatar Chamber Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al-Thani, the Dean of the Arab Diplomatic Corps, the Ambassador of Lebanon in Berlin, Mustafa Adib, in addition to members of the Arab-German Chamber and businessmen from the Arab and German sides.
During the meeting, they discussed a number of issues aimed at developing trade and industrial cooperation between Arab countries on the one hand, and the Federal Republic of Germany on the other, in addition to increasing intra-regional trade rates.
Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al Thani praised the Arab-German economic relations, which have witnessed rapid development in recent years, as trade exchange between Arab countries and Germany last year grew by 20 percent, exceeding 60 billion euros, compared to 51 billion euros in 2022.
