Oil futures jumped one dollar in early trade on Monday, as a potential hurricane approached the U.S. Gulf Coast and markets recovered from a sell-off following weaker-than-expected U.S. jobs data on Friday.

U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures rose $1, or 1.48 percent, to $68.67 a barrel, while Brent crude futures rose 99 cents, or 1.39 percent, to $72.05 a barrel.
