Egypt has seen a record tourist season for the second year in a row, despite regional turmoil and the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, the largest tourist market historically to Egypt.
Total tourist inflows during the first seven months of this year exceeded 8 million, with sector revenues expected to exceed $ 14 billion by the end of this year.
The projected numbers this year will exceed 15 million tourists, compared to 14.9 million at the end of last year. From January to mid-August, spending grew by 12 to 14 percent.
