Saudi Arabia to Welcome 60 Million Visitors in the First Half Of 2024

Saudi Arabia received 60 million visitors during the first half of this year, with a spending volume of about 150 billion riyals, and about 10 percent growth in the number of tourists and spending.

Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khatib explained that Vision 2030 was launched to maximize the economic and social value of many sectors, and the tourism file was one of the most important, and the necessary plans were developed to reach the fair share of the Kingdom in this important sector. He explained that the system was contributing 3 percent of the gross domestic product of the Saudi economy.

He pointed out that by the end of the first half of this year, the system's contribution to the GDP reached 5%. He stressed that the sector is moving at a steady pace to achieve 10 percent, equivalent to 600 to billion riyals of tourism income in the Saudi economy.
