The Moroccan tourism ministry revealed that the number of tourists arriving in Morocco in the first six months of this year rose 14 percent year-on-year to 7.4 million.
Official data showed Morocco last year welcomed an unprecedented 14.5 million tourists, while looking to attract 17.5 million tourists next year and 26 million by 2030 when Spain and Portugal co-host the World Cup. Tourism accounts for 7 percent of Morocco's GDP and is a major source of foreign currency.
