Oman: GDP Increased By 0.8 Percent

The gross domestic product in the Sultanate of Oman by the end of the first quarter of 2024 increased by 0.8 percent to reach RO 10 billion and 442 million (about $ 27 billion), compared to the same period in 2023 of RO 10 billion and 362 million and 700 thousand Omani riyals.

According to data from the National Center for Statistics and Information, crude oil activities fell by about 4.4 percent to about 2.99 billion riyals. Natural gas activities decreased by 0.1 percent to OMR 524,400,000.

The decline in oil activities led to a decline in public revenues for the Sultanate of Oman by about 12 percent in the first quarter of 2024 to about two billion and 826 million riyals ($ 7.34 billion) compared to three billion and 217 million riyals in the same period last year.
