Recent assessments of the African Development Bank carried optimistic expectations of an improvement in the economic indicators of the Tunisian economy for this year, although the government still has a lot to do to address the imbalances in financial and other balances.

The bank expects Tunisia's GDP growth this year to be around 2.1 percent and 2.9 percent next year. In a report titled "Driving Africa's Transformation: Reforming Global Financial Engineering," the bank predicted that consumer prices would be in the range of 7.1 percent for the whole of 2024 before gradually declining to 6.7 percent in 2025 if global inflation pressures ease. The report predicted a Tunisian budget deficit of 6 percent in 2025.
