The World Bank expects the Middle East and North Africa's GDP to rise to 2.7 percent this year from 1.9 percent in 2023, returning to pre-pandemic levels, although the rate is still lower than the rest of the world.

The World Bank's Middle East and North Africa Economic Update titled "Conflict and Debt in the Middle East and North Africa" shows that weak growth, high debt levels, and growing conflict-induced uncertainty in the region are casting a shadow over all MENA economies.
