Annual inflation in Qatar recorded 2.7% in February

The consumer price index in Qatar increased by 2.70 percent last February, compared to the same month in 2023, influenced by the entertainment and culture sector. While it decreased on a monthly basis by 0.34 percent, according to data from the Qatar Planning and Statistics Authority.

The increase on an annual basis in the index that measures inflation is due to the rise in the general index in the entertainment and culture sector by 16.56 percent, followed by food and beverages by 6.56 percent, communications by 3.84 percent, education by 3.25 percent, and furniture and household appliances by 1.40 percent. Then other goods and services by 0.59 percent.
