The Parliament of the European Union has approved the first major set of basic regulations for the management of advanced artificial intelligence, which is at the forefront of technology investment.
The European Union reached an interim political consensus in early December, and it was later ratified in the parliament session on 13-3-2024, where 523 votes voted in favor, 46 against, and 49 abstentions.
EU Commissioner for the Internal Market, Thierry Breton, stressed, "Europe is now a world leader in artificial intelligence."
