The price of "Bitcoin" in early trading on Thursday exceeded $ 51,800, after achieving gains of 5.2 percent.
The world's highest cryptocurrency by value has risen more than 20 percent since the beginning of February and is already preparing to achieve its largest monthly rise since October. Investments in Bitcoin make up more than half of investments in the US$2.01 trillion cryptocurrency market.
