The total assets of the Qatari banking sector during December 2023 increased by 1.2 percent, compared to the previous month (3.4 percent in 2023), to reach QR1.969 trillion. Total loans to the Qatari banking sector increased by 1.1 percent compared to the previous month (by 2.5 percent in 2023). Deposits increased by 0.5 percent compared to the previous month (-1.3 percent in 2023). Both the public and private sectors have contributed to pushing total credit loans up. The loan-to-deposit ratio increased to 130.6 percent, compared to 129.7 percent in November 2023. While total loans increased by 1.1 percent in December 2023.
