Microsoft revealed that it is collaborating with the media platform Semaphore and other news organizations to help journalists use generative artificial intelligence in content production.
Microsoft announced that it is helping organizations define and improve procedures and policies to use AI responsibly in news gathering and other industry activities. It will launch a breaking news bulletin called Signals, which journalists can use with the help of tools from OpenAI and Microsoft to provide readers with analysis and insights into breaking news stories.
Microsoft also announced collaboration with news organizations including Craig Newmark School for Journalism Graduates in New York, Online News Association, and the Ground Truth Project to explore ways to integrate generative AI into its work and newsrooms.
